As part of the expansion projects for the two La Crosse Area YMCA facilities, there was a need to modify the parking lot, entrance walks and a drainage system. The drainage improvements also included a rainwater biofilter for stormwater management. The biofilter provides natural aesthetic qualities and returns the rainwater to the groundwater eliminating surface drainage directed to the storm sewer.
