This project included approximately 2,500’ of open channel, 2,700’ of 60” diameter storm sewer, 1,000’ of 108” diameter storm sewer, and a 1.75-acre sedimentation pond. The purpose of the project was to collect stormwater runoff from a 461-acre residential/commercial watershed and convey it to the sedimentation pond before discharging to the La Crosse River marsh. The system is designed for a peak flow of 1,000 cfs. The sedimentation pond is designed to remove 80% of the suspended solids contained in the runoff from a two-year storm event.
