The City of Galesville, WI was facing a stringent phosphorus discharge limit. The project involved 3 major improvements: A clarifier addition to the aerated lagoon to better capture settled solids, a reed bed system to further dewater the solids (sludge) through evapotranspiration/filtration, and streambank rehab of Beaver Creek which will prevent erosion and reduce runoff of nutrients (phosphorus) into the Creek.
