Projected population increases, as well as industrial and commercial water usage projections, created the need for additional water supply. Well #6, located in the northwest part of the City, included a pumphouse and treatment facility for iron and manganese removal. Well #7, located directly opposite in the southeast part of the City, has been drilled and construction of the pumphouse and treatment facility began in the fall of 2017.
