City of Arcadia – Oak Street Reconstruction

During the flood of July 2017, a section of Oak Street and the surrounding areas were washed out next to the Turton Creek bridge.  The damaged areas next to the street were regraded, followed by placement of erosion control reinforcement mat and 2’ of heavy riprap .  The street section was then reconstructed.  There is currently regional comprehensive  planning being completed to prevent recurring flood event damages along Turton Creek within the City limits.
