Michael Davy

Michael F. Davy, the third generation of the Davy family to lead the firm, joined Davy Engineering Co. in 1969. As a project engineer, project manager, and chairman of the firm, Mike is tasked with the organization and coordination of all projects. He is personally involved in hundreds of projects, including design of wastewater collection and treatment; water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution; surveying and land development; streets and storm sewers; and other civil and environmental engineering projects.

Mike graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1969 with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He has continued his education by attending courses and seminars offered by UW-Madison and professional organizations.

Mike is licensed as a Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Nebraska; a Land Surveyor in Wisconsin and Minnesota; a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in Wisconsin; and is a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.

Mark Davy

Mark S. Davy joined Davy Engineering Co. in 1994 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Mark has broad experience in general civil engineering projects and specialized experience in public financing, design and construction management of municipal infrastructure projects such as water supply, storage, treatment, and distribution; sewer collection and wastewater treatment; streets and storm sewers; and land development.

Mark is a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.

Dan Cook

Dan Cook has 35 years of Professional Engineering experience as a civil engineer. He became one of the first Certified Floodplain Managers in 2000 and has civil and water resources engineering experience providing planning, funding application, design, budgeting, and construction administration for streets, highways, sanitary sewer, water main, storm sewer, and storm water treatment. Dan works with municipal and private clients. Mr. Cook is also very knowledgeable in waterway permitting.

Dan is a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Illinois.

Carson Hackett

Carson joined Davy Engineering Co. in 2019 as a project engineer and design engineer. Since starting at Davy, Carson has served as support staff and assists with engineering work for numerous projects. He has experience working on projects in both the public and private sectors including stormwater management and erosion control, storm sewer systems, wastewater treatment facilities, sewage lift stations, water distribution systems and water storage facilities. Other experience includes construction inspection, preparing technical reports for wastewater treatment compliance, engineering evaluations and regulatory permitting.

Carson graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and began his engineering career in 2017. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin.

Rachel Jaeger

Rachel joined Davy Engineering Co. in 2023 as an entry level engineer. Since starting at Davy, Rachel has assisted on Water Quality Trading Projects to obtain phosphorus credits, construction site observations at Wastewater Treatment Facilities, report writing, and municipal water and wastewater projects.

Rachel graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023 with a B.S. Degree in Biological Systems Engineering with a Natural Resources and Environmental emphasis. At UW-Madison Rachel focused on the management and conservation of our resources, which includes planning conservation practices for the landscape to better manage runoff and soil erosion to protect water quality. Prior to Davy, Rachel gained useful experience as an environmental engineering intern where she did construction site observations at Wastewater Treatment plants.

Rachel is working to pursue an EIT licensure in Wisconsin.

Alex Jaromin

Alex joined Davy Engineering Co. in 2019 as a project and design engineer. Alex has over 5 years of experience with municipal infrastructure projects including sewer collection system and wastewater treatment design; water supply, storage, treatment and distribution; groundwater sampling and monitoring; site development and stormwater management planning; and street reconstruction projects. Other experience includes surveying, construction site inspection, preparing technical engineering reports for regulatory and funding agencies, and assisting municipalities in applying for state and federal funding opportunities.

Alex graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an Environmental emphasis and began his career in 2017. Prior to graduation, Alex gained valuable experience as an engineering intern. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin.

Jim Maloney

Jim Maloney joined Davy Engineering Co. in 2013 as a project engineer. He has over 30 years of experience working on civil engineering projects in both the public and private sectors. Projects include: municipal streets, highways, urban streetscaping, wastewater collection, water distribution, storm sewer systems, residential subdivisions and commercial site developments. His experience also includes preparing technical reports for water distribution analysis, sewer I&I studies, and stormwater management.

Jim began his career working as a college intern during summers gaining valuable experience with construction staking, surveying, soil testing and construction observation. Jim graduated from Iowa State University with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. His continuing education includes courses for computer modeling for water distribution systems and hydrologic/hydraulic analysis.

Jim is a current member of the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers (WSPE).

Jim is a licensed Professional Engineer in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.

Tim Stockman

Tim Stockman joined Davy Engineering Co. on September 11, 2017. Mr. Stockman has 27 years’ experience as a civil/environmental engineer working with municipal and industrial clients in primarily the water and wastewater field. He also has experience in land development with private and municipal clients. Mr. Stockman has worked predominantly in west central Wisconsin but also in the Twin Cities Metro area during his consulting career. Tim graduated from Iowa State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

Tim is a licensed Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Shawn Welte

Shawn Welte joined Davy Engineering Co. in 2009 as a project and design engineer. He has been involved with planning, design, bidding, construction, and project supervision of projects involving water and wastewater construction for over 24 years. Projects have included wastewater treatment facilities, drinking water treatment facilities, water storage facilities, wells, pump houses, sewage lift stations, SCADA systems, and water and wastewater maintenance projects.

Shawn graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and began his engineeing career in 1993.

Shawn is a member of the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers (WSPE) and Wisconsin Wastewater Operators Association (WWOA).

Shawn is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin.

Jesse Wiley

Jesse joined Davy Engineering Co. in 2020 as an engineer/survey technician. Since starting at Davy, Jesse has managed surveying and mapping projects as well as the staking for engineering and construction projects. Before joining Davy, Jesse was a survey crew chief for large highway and bridge projects as well as private land boundary surveys. He has experience completing Certified Survey Maps, ALTA Surveys, elevation certificates, LOMA’s, lot retracement surveys, construction staking and topographic surveys.

Jesse graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering Technology and began his surveying career in 2014. He is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Wisconsin and pursuing his licensure in the state of Minnesota.

Mike Hastreiter

Mike Hastreiter joined Davy Engineering in 2010. Mike is an RPR on Wastewater and Water Treatment Facilities.

Mike graduated in 1980 from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College with an Associate degree in Civil Engineering and Architectural Design.

Curt Marx

Curtis Marx joined Davy Engineering Co. in 2008 as a field technician. He is involved with construction layout and observation of sewer and water projects, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and street improvement projects.

Curt is Erosion Control and Construction Management certified in the State of Minnesota.

Curtis graduated from Western Wisconsin Technical College with an Associate degree in ElectronNeuroDiagnostic Technology, in 1991.

Shawn Mahoney

Shawn Mahoney joined Davy Engineering in 2004 as an Engineering Technician. He is involved with construction layout, general administration and inspection of municipal sewer and water projects, wastewater treatment facilities, water treatment plants, water reservoirs, wells and street improvement projects. He assists with the design of municipal highway projects, comprehensive municipal storm sewer systems, and grading projects for developments. He also does work with municipalities in Wisconsin and Minnesota on bridge inspection and grant application assignments; as well as perform drawing work of facilities on AUTOCAD, and consultations with Army Corp of Engineers and The Department of Natural Resources on Wetland delineations.

Shawn Graduated from Mid-State College in 1994 with a A.S. Degree in Civil Engineering and Highway Technology.

Shawn is an Erosion Control Certified Inspector (MN), Certified Wetland Delineator, National Highway Institute Certified Bridge Inspector (WI), Certified Bridge Inspector (MN Dot), Certified Aggregate Inspector AGGTEC-IPP (WI Dot), Certified Asphalt Inspector HMATEC-IS (WI Dot), Certified EMT (WI).

Kelly Kendall

Kelly has been with Davy Engineering since 2012 and is currently the CAD Manager, working on a wide variety of projects from site designs to water treatment plants. He has worked in the Civil Engineering field from 2004 to present as an engineering tech doing on-site inspections to CAD tech and drafting design. Before 2004 he worked as a general contractor for 7 years on residential projects. He is an avid outdoors-men and wood worker in his off hours.

Kelly graduated from Hamilton Technical College in 2004 with an Associate of Occupational Studies in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design.

Chue Moua

Chue graduated from Central High School in 2010 and then went on to receive his Associate in Applied Science and Architectural Technology degree at Western Technical College, graduating in 2014. While studying at Western, he interned at the La Crosse County’s Facility Department as an AutoCAD Technician. His duties were to create AutoCAD drawings of the county building from available records. After graduating, he was hired at Davy Engineering in 2014 as an AutoCAD Technician. He works within AutoCAD Civil 3D to create plan sheets for sites, road constructions, water, and wastewater projects. When working with water and wastewater plant projects, he will also utilize Revit for the building and interior piping. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, working on and modifying cars, as well as fishing and hunting.

Vernie Smith

Vernie Smith has been employed with Davy Engineering as a Draftsman since 1989. He grew up in Columbus, Wisconsin and has attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and Madison Area Technical College. At MATC he took classes in the Civil Engineering Technician program.
During his time at Davy Engineering he transitioned from manual, board drafting to CAD (Computer Aided Drafting).
In addition to drafting work, he handles maintenance in the Davy Building and works on the archiving and retrieval of plans, surveys, reports and other engineering documents.

William Burke

William J. Burke AICP has over 40 years of experience as a certified community planner. This experience has been concentrated in the areas of Comprehensive Planning, land use & site planning, transportation planning, economic development, zoning and subdivision ordinance development, local official workshops, and environmental analysis. Other areas of expertise have included zoning, plat review, public works planning; recreational trail planning and design; downtown planning and redevelopment; historic preservation; grant writing; park & recreation planning; and organizational development.

Bill has been involved with the Board of director’s member and president of a regional Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D) organization, City council, Governor’s appointee to the Great River Road Commission, Congressional appointee to the Mississippi River Citizens Commission, President of Lansing Veteran’s Memorial Association, co-founder and member of the Friends of Pool 9 volunteers, American Legion Chaplain, and other organizations.

Bill holds a B. S. degree from Iowa State University, with continuing education credits from fourteen educational institutions. Bill is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Bridget Chadwick

Bridget joined Davy Engineering & Laboratories in 2014 as the Office Manager. She came to Davy with over 15 years of experience in Accounting and Human Resources acquired from the construction and medical industries. She is responsible with overseeing many tasks at Davy to include accounting, human resources, marketing, process improvement, project budgeting and funding.

Bridget is dedicated to putting the right individuals within Davy Engineering & Laboratories to make us more successful. Her area of expertise is improving processes to make the company more efficient by saving time and costs. Ms. Chadwick has taken many professional courses over the years; however, she is most proud of her military service in the United States Air Force where she truly learned the meaning of “Teamwork”.

Tim Holzer

Tim joined Davy Engineering in 2001. He represents both Davy Engineering Company and Davy Laboratories as the Sales and Marketing Representative. Tim is a vital component of both divisions at Davy.

For the Engineering division, he assists with client relations, researches project financing options, produces statements of qualifications and other marketing-related materials, and consults with elected officials and municipal staff to apprise them of the company’s capabilities.

In the Laboratories division, he assists with customer service, processes sample kit orders, prepares proposals, organizes sampling schedules, and facilitates the scheduling of future and on-going sample kit shipments.

Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Stevens Point. He maintains multiple professional memberships with the following organizations: Wisconsin Rural Water Association (WRWA), Minnesota Rural Water Association (MRWA), Wisconsin Wastewater Operators Association (WWOA), Minnesota Wastewater Operators Association (MWOA) and the Wisconsin section of American Waterworks Association (AWWA).

Kyle Schultz

Kyle Schultz joined Davy Engineering Co. in 2007 as a IT Specialist. He has over 15 years of experience in the IT field maintaining and troubleshooting computers, networks, and security cameras.

Kyle graduated from Western Technical College in 2007 with an Associates degree in Computer Support and an Associates degree in Network Support.
